Holy Cross Church is the Church of England Parish Church in Bearsted.  We are part of the North Downs team ministry which also includes the parishes of Boxley, Detling, Hollingbourne, Leeds, Broomfield and Otham and Langley.  Within the Church of England national structure we are in the Diocese of Canterbury, and the North Downs Deanery.  While the vicar leads the parish, he is supported by the Parochial Church Council (PCC) which is made up of elected members of the church who are not part of the clergy, known as the "laity".  Key roles within this include the Church Warden, Lay Vice Chair, Hon Treasurer and Hon Secretary.
