Bearsted and Thurnham WI Hall Summer Family Fair - Saturday 12th August  10am- 2.30pm

A selection of handmade craft, jewellery, preserves, cakes, refreshments, children’s games and activities. Organised by Jemima Ferrell, age 15, to support her visit Borneo trip to aid tree planting, support the orangutang sanctuary and other local efforts.

Kent Churches Annual Bike Ride 2023

Saturday 9th September - 10am start

Starting from HCB. Short /Family, Medium and Long routes. Refreshments generally available at participating churches. Personal sponsorship forms available or entry donation on the day. Proceeds will be divided equally between Friends of Kent churches and HCB. Please register your interest by the 31st August with Andy Haines of Mark Shaw.

Mentoring for The Family Trust

There is a growing demand for mentoring in Maidstone Secondary Schools... and before you say "no, I'm not qualified"… no experience is necessary, and all training is provided. After that its an hour a week, to listen to a young person. Simple, yet highly effective. Our local children need our support more than ever. Salvation Army Food Bank

The Salvation army have used all the harvest and Christmas donations and would appreciate more food donations but NOT pasta, soup, or jam as they have a large quantity of these.  Please put donated food in the box in the porch or if you would prefer to give a cash donation please place in an envelope and mark on the front Food Bank and hand it in at church.
